Denise Bilhorn, MD

Dr. Denise H. Bilhorn is a Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist
practicing office gynecology, with interests in adolescent health, weight
issues, wellness, and menopausal medicine. She graduated from Duke
University and the UNC School of Medicine and completed residency at
the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis, MN. Following
residency, Dr. Bilhorn practiced in Minnesota for nine years.
She spent the next 11 years in East Africa serving as a missionary doing
community medicine with her veterinarian husband, Lorin, and their three
teen-age children. She returned to North Carolina in 2005, and now
considers Hickory "home." Lorin Bilhorn, DVM, works as a veterinarian
ad Viewmont Animal Hospital in Hickory. She enjoys cooking, reading,
birding, snorkeling, and traveling with her family.
