Dr. Lovin, Dr. Faruque, Dr. Harraghy, and Dr. Miletich perform routine gynecologic surgery including
hysterectomy, tubal sterilizations, D & C's, bladder tack-ups, hysteroscopy, and laser surgery. They also
performs minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery including laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomies
(LAVH). Currently Drs. Lovin, Faruque, Harraghy, and Miletich perform surgery at Catawba Valley
Medical Center.
"I feel that surgery should be a last
resort for treating most
gynecologic disorders," says Dr.
Lovin, "but once all the options
have been explained, it is the
patient who should be given the
chance to make the final decisions
regarding her health."
